This is a bit of an odd question.
I’m following a Serum tutorial that only makes a few moves. For instance, a) select mono, b) select a basic shape (modified sine wave), c) apply envelope for modulation. Now, I’ve followed each instruction exactly and can’t reproduce the thump, punch, definition, or power of this simple sound.
I use Cubase 14 & have Focal Solo monitors. I know there are a lot of variables at play, but it seems I should manage to get roughly the same sound just after a few tweaks. I also don’t know if there’s any additional processing going on behind-the-scenes I can’t see but the math ain’t mathin.
